Picnics may have ancient roots in China, but this November the tradition takes on a vibrant new life at the BIG Picnic on Tai Pak Beach in Discovery Bay, Hong Kong. Set against a sweeping seaside backdrop, the event promises a full day of food, music and community spirit.
Although the exact date is still to be confirmed, the line-up is already brimming with excitement. More than 20 leading local bands will perform across multiple stages, filling the beach with energy and rhythm. Families and friends can spread out on the sand, enjoy the sea breeze, and soak up a festival atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the city.
Handmade Hong Kong will bring a colourful array of market stalls, while beach bars and pop-up kitchens serve everything from refreshing brews to creative seasonal dishes.
