Connect with Balinese Culture Through Healing and Smiles

At Destination Asia we make great efforts to involve local communities in our offerings, which brings their work to a wide audience and also provides them with a source of much needed income. The Healing and Smiles initiative in Bali is a prime example.

Suitable for groups of up to 30 pax, it focuses on the many traditional activities that have been preserved at the Bali Rural Commune, which is sited in beautiful, green surroundings near the village of Bangli. The guests can witness and take part in lots of activities such as farmwork, rice planting (which is muddy but great fun,) making traditional gebogan flower arrangements, manufacturing coconut oil by hand, as well as Balinese cooking classes run by top professionals. Alongside these, co-sponsor the Ghanta Yoga Foundation offers yoga, meditation and spiritual discussion.

This option is available all year round and is also highly flexible, so precise itineraries can be customised in advance to suit guests’ requests. To talk over the possibilities, just reach out to the MICE team in Bali.
