Exploring Taiwan’s meeting and events landscape

Phyllis Lau, Destination Asia Hong Kong’s MICE expert, was recently invited on a four-day familiarisation trip organised by the Taipei City Tourism Board, an excellent opportunity to discover Taiwan’s top sightseeing spots and new MICE venues.

From the bustling capital city of Taipei to the serene countryside outside it, this destination has so much to offer, as Phyllis and fellow MICE specialists discovered. They had the chance to join workshops with unique experiences such as silk printing and also visited the atmospheric old port of Dadaocheng. Of course, the trip also took an in-depth tour around some of Taiwan’s top MICE venues, such as the ultra modern, superbly equipped Taipei International Convention Center.

As well as sightseeing, the trip provided guests an invaluable opportunity expand their knowledge of what Taiwan has to offer and to network with professionals from all over the region. Soon after returning, the Destination Asia Hong Kong team has already successfully connected with a local MICE partner to support all forthcoming events in Taiwan.
