Location: Aberdeen, Hong Kong
Capacity: Up to 40 pax per session
The fishing industry has changed enormously in many parts of the world and Hong Kong’s Aberdeen Village is no exception. However, there are still 600 junks moored there and it remains the only fishing port in Hong Kong’s Southern District, providing one-third of all the fish caught in its waters.
This is a fascinating day trip with a difference, showcasing the community’s vibrant local life. It starts with a scenic one-hour ride on a traditional Chinese teak boat, offering mesmerising views and countless photo opportunities, with an English audio guide. Then guests step aboard a working junk that hosts a range of cultural relics. To round the day off, guests enjoy delicious bowls of the region’s famous boat noodles.
Meticulously designed in partnership with the Hong Kong Tourism Board, available all year round and suitable for up to 40 guests, this makes a perfect side trip for delegates at a city MICE event.
