The hugely popular Geylang Serai Bazaar returns from 25 May – 24 June with more than 1,000 stalls selling goods such as baju kurung (traditional Malay attire), decorative items, traditional Hari Raya festive goodies such as kueh tart (pineapple tarts) and kueh bangkit (tapioca flour cookies), snacks like ‘rainbow planet ice-cream buns’ and more. Both festivals provide a great opportunity to understand more about Malay culture in Singapore.
