Maritime Experiential Museum on Sentosa Island

A great option for families visiting Singapore is to make their way to The Maritime Experiential Museum on Sentosa Island. Here visitors can travel back in time to discover Asia’s maritime heritage, exploring the marine realm of its S.E.A. Aquarium, home to more than 100,000 marine animals of over 800 species from 49 different habitats.

Guests can also venture through a wreckage from the Java Sea. The fascinating world beneath the Strait of Karimata, located on the lower-eastern side of Sumatra comes to life as a monumental shipwreck with a splintered hull, sitting on the floor of the aquarium, home to an abundance of fish and aquatic life. Small fish like the cleaner wrasse can be seen feeding on their bigger peers’ skin and gills – just one of the many surprises that await visitors.
