We are excited by the new Khopfa Sunset Cruise now available in Luang Prabang. The new vessel boasts a lounge area with relaxing sofas and armchairs complete with a bar a tapas food. Those sat on its open deck can enjoy unhindered 360 degree views of the natural scenery all around them as drinks and snacks are served at your table. Each sail lasts approximately two hours, commencing at 4.15 pm (dependent on the season) and cruises through a jungle lined valley to the sounds of nature as the sun dips below the horizon.
There is a second option for travelers wanting to explore the river from Luang Prabang. Why not cruise from Luang Prabang to the majestic Kuang Si Waterfalls? This seven tiered waterfall is just a 1.5 hour journey by boat from Luang Prabang. Departing early in the morning, a delicious breakfast is served on board as the mist evaporates above the water’s surface and the jungle leaves glows in shades of green. After a few hours spent enjoying the waterfalls, its back into the boat for the cruise back as lunch is served on board.
