New ZeroWaste tour program launches in Bali

The new ZeroWaste Tour Program in Bali’s Nusa Dua features a series of 10 eco-stations, each focused on a particular aspect of sustainable living and environmental awareness.

At the Natural Dyes Station, guests get to create an eco-friendly cotton bandana dyed with natural ingredients. Then, at the ZeroWaste Soap Station, they see a brilliant technique for recycling the estimated 75 tons of soap bars that are thrown away each year from hotels and resorts in Bali. Guests can take part as the products are disinfected, processed, and formed into new bars, which are later given away as charitable donations.

Further stops on the tour include the Paper Recycling Station, which provides local schools with recycled materials, the Reforestation Centre, the Marine Centre, and insights into waste separation, composting, and other eco-conscious activities. The immersive journey ends with a tasting session of homemade Jamu, a traditional Indonesian herbal drink with multiple benefits.

All profits generated from the ZeroWaste Tour Program provide education on waste management, sustainable living and environmental awareness for public school children and beneficiaries of humanitarian NGOs. The program is a great choice for environmentally conscious individuals or small groups eager to explore more sustainable practices and eco-friendly initiatives.
