This culinary encounter leads guests to Tabanan Regency where they meet a local food expert who is a lead chef for one of Bali’s most celebrated group of restaurants.
During the day he imparts his philosophy of introducing local produce to a wider audience. Following his tradition of working closely with local farmers, we rummage through the market for fresh ingredients, followed by a few more exciting activities before embarking on a private cooking class. Before doing any of the above, the day begins with a morning coffee and briefing at the chef’s house in a small local village.
Then we hop on our bikes and cycle through the regency’s rice terraces, mountains and valleys flowing with fresh water. Upon arrival at the market it’s time to enjoy an authentic Balinese breakfast before continuing on our bikes to Pura Dalem Tungkub Temple to learn how to create your own Balinese offering. Return to the chef’s house where we roll up our sleeves and learn how Balinese Chicken Betutu is made before, then our chef will guide everyone through five different Balinese recipes as you prepare your lunch together.
