The Athakon house is a very exclusive private house inspired from traditional Khmer Architecture, built on two large rice fields. For many years the paddy fields were fed by water originating from the Phnom Kulen holy mountain. Accommodating up to 80 people, the center of Athakon house is an octagonal shape, representing Mount Meru and is the primary meeting space where pre-dinner cocktails are also served. Walking down the staircase, delegates discover a garden where tables are set up in front of a lit swimming pool. Traditional decoration, candlelit path and the fascinating architecture of the house as a backdrop leaves delegates breathless as they enjoy fine Khmer delicacies.
