Cruise from Laos to China on the New Pandaw Vessel from September

The new double decked vessel to be named RV Sabei Pandaw has been designed with a shallow draft and powerful engines to ensure year-round passage along the rapids of Lao’s challenging gorges.

The Sabei will contain twelve classic Pandaw staterooms; eight on the main deck and four on the upper deck as well as an open plan saloon with flexible indoor or outdoor dining. Handcrafted from teak and brass, the cross-country faring vessel will provide all the comforts guests have come to expect from Pandaw. The Sabei will sail between Vientiane in Laos, and Jinghong in China. This is a unique expedition currently only offered by Pandaw, traversing Laos, Thailand, Burma and China. On this journey guests will not only pass through some of Asia’s most flourishing and least-visited landscapes, but also connect with villagers from remote settlements and witness a way of life quite unlike anything we are used to.

The Sabei Pandaw also offers a great base from which to experience expeditions ashore, trekking or by mountain bike. Cuisine on board is a blend of flavors from Laos and Thailand with expert chefs also able happy to prepare international dishes upon request.
