Destination Asia Indonesia recently hosted one of the most exclusive Further East events of 2025. In partnership with Soori Bali, international luxury agents joined a three-day journey designed to showcase some of Bali’s most unique experiences. The event offered a rare opportunity to connect deeply with the island’s culture while strengthening relationships for future collaborations.
The highlight of the program was a full-day trip to West Bali. The day began with an introduction to Jegog, a traditional musical art form crafted from giant bamboo poles. Guests met their instructor at a local stage and learned about the instrument’s role in Balinese ceremonies, weddings, and music competitions. Under expert guidance, they practiced the rhythms and joined local artists to create the captivating melodies of this centuries-old tradition. They then enjoyed a traditional Balinese lunch as the full orchestra performed a powerful symphony of bamboo rhythms.
The journey continued with a visit to Jagatnatha Temple, the highest temple in West Bali, where a local priest offered a traditional blessing, providing a moment of connection to the island’s sacred customs before visiting Puri Agung Jembrana, a 17th-century royal palace with historical ties to the Muslim Bugis tribe. Members of the royal family welcomed the guests and shared stories about the palace’s heritage and its place in West Bali’s history.
The day concluded at Soori Bali with an exclusive dinner at the resort’s ten-bedroom estate. Guests were treated to a mesmerizing dance performance by talented young dancers from the nearby community, creating a memorable finale that celebrated Bali’s living traditions.
The event successfully combined cultural immersion with meaningful networking, leaving each guest inspired by West Bali’s heritage and engaged for future collaborations.
