A Stylish Experience in Luang Prabang

Here’s an experience that’s a little bit different and a whole lot of fun in Laos’s beautiful Luang Prabang, devised by an enterprising, creative and infectiously friendly local couple.

The female half of the couple takes guests on a tour of traditional clothes shops around town, which stock the highly distinctive traditional outfits that typify national dress and are still worn regularly by many people in Laos, with dozens of traditional skirts, blouses, trousers, sashes, jewelry and accessories to choose from. Along the way, she explains the historical and cultural significance of some of the pieces.

Once the outfits are chosen and the guests are dressed, the young man – who is an excellent photographer – shoots them at various locations and heritage sites around the town, featuring temples, old buildings, tranquil riverbanks, and lots more great photo opportunities. The end result is a stunning collection of pictures that guests will want to treasure.

This trip is available with half-day and all-day options. For more information and bookings, get in touch with our reservation team in Laos at: [email protected]
