Tripadvisor has once again placed Bali among the world’s most popular destinations, awarding it the second spot in the annual Travelers’ Choice Award for Destinations. Nicknamed the Island of the Gods, Bali climbed from fourth place in 2022 to second place in 2023, missing out narrowly to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and taking first place as the best destination in Asia. Bali comes up trumps in the rankings against global destinations like Cancun, London, and even the City of Love, Paris.
The award is an annual event, selecting the tourist destinations that consistently provide the best and most comprehensive experiences. Ratings are based on the quality and quantity of reviews from November 2021 to October 2022.
