According to local authorities, construction of the Universal Beijing Resort is complete and the facility is preparing to open.
The resort, located in Beijing’s eastern suburban district of Tongzhou, consists of the Universal Studios theme park, the Universal CityWalk and two hotels, with 37 recreational facilities and themed attractions, 80 restaurants and 30 shops.
Construction of the resort started in August 2018 and is scheduled to open in May this year. The resort is currently making pre-opening preparations, which include improvement of the interior decoration, facility testing, tourist service rehearsals, and staff training.
After opening, the theme park is projecting to receive more than 10 million visitors per year.
