Celebrate Tuen Ng (Dragon Boat) Festival on 3 June 2022

The auspicious Dragon Boat (Tuen Ng) Festival takes place on the 5th day of the 5th Lunar month which this year, is on 3 June. This event goes as far back as the 3rd century and is well-known for its energetic and colorful dragon boat races, where teams of paddlers race the long narrow boats accompanied by the beat of the drum down to the finish line. The pilgrimage with longboats, drumming, and dragon boat races and competitions characterize the festival of today. During the festival, local people will wrap and steam the rice dumplings (a favourite local delicacy).

The Dragon Boat Festival is nowadays celebrated all over the world, for some a very entertaining and exciting festival, and for others, dragon boat racing is a fiercely competitive event.
