For an evening with a genuine wow factor, Destination Asia Hong Kong has partnered with wardrobe specialist Yang Shang Kee and the elegant, members-only China Club, designed by the eminent socialite Sir David Tang. This event was first arranged for an Australian incentive group travelling to Hong Kong in 2024 but due to it’s appeal is available for groups now.
Before the main event, Yang Shang Kee fits the female guests with a “qipao” – a traditional Chinese ladies gown. There are hundreds to choose from and the wearers can also have their hair styled to match the look. Men can also opt to wear a traditional “cheong sam,” to make the event that much more memorable – especially the photos!
The party then heads to the ultra-exclusive China Club, filled with art and antiquities from the 1930s Shanghai era and a sweeping art-deco staircase. There’s a world-class selection of fine wines to be enjoyed at the stunning Long Bar and a wide-ranging menu of Chinese gourmet classics served in the nostalgic dining room.
