The brief: A leading auto parts manufacturer tasked us with managing a multi-day reward celebration in Phuket for 180 of its top US personnel. Alongside overseeing logistics and accommodation, the centrepiece of the program was to be an unforgettable gala dinner in a venue with breathtaking sea views.
Challenges and outcome: Our team quickly secured a celebrated clifftop restaurant overlooking the Andaman Sea, an ideal setting that delivered both exclusivity and panoramic beauty. The venue’s elevated terrace, with sweeping views of the ocean at sunset, offered the perfect backdrop for a high-end celebration.
However, just days before the event, we were informed that the gala would coincide with a major music festival taking place nearby. With road closures and large-scale congestion expected, guest transport was suddenly at risk.
Drawing on our strong local network, we coordinated closely with local police and devised an alternative access route that bypassed the congestion zones. While the revised journey was slightly longer, the drive remained smooth and scenic. Guests arrived calm and on schedule, unaware of the potential disruption that had been averted behind the scenes.
The evening unfolded flawlessly. Guests dined on a curated Thai menu that combined traditional flavours with modern flair and highlight dishes included grilled Andaman prawns with lemongrass, massaman curry, and a coconut-mango dessert served under the stars. The combination of fine food, stunning sea views, and heartfelt service created a night to remember.
