Japan’s national drink, sake, known as ‘nihonshu’ in Japan (literally ‘Japanese alcohol’) has a history deeply rooted in its religion, culture and mythology. In Japan alone there exists over 10,000 flavours of sake – more than anyone can ever hope to try in their lifetime.
In response to this information overload from the past is a solution from the future: AI. Yummy Sake Collective opened its doors in the beginning of 2019 as the first bar to feature an AI program. This program analyzes your preferences, creates a taste profile, and then recommends a sake just for you. To add to this, it also helps you with pairing a food for your favourite sake.
