Revealing the Spirit of Talad Noi

Asia Talk-taladnoiBangkok is home to many hidden enclaves, characterized by specific trades, ethnic groups, historic architecture and colorful markets. One of the oldest and still a thriving corner is Talad Noi – ‘Talad’ meaning market and ‘Noi’ meaning small. Situated on the edge of Bangkok’s effervescent Chinatown district, this small area stretching from Wat Traimit along the Chao Phraya River was home to Chinese merchants in the 1800’s who would trade rice, herbs and spices from wooden shophouses, many of which still stand today.

Our insightful walking program leads guests along these vibrant streets, stopping on route to try some of the delicious street food that Chinatown is famous for. We guarantee every visitor will be captivated by the unique character of this lesser known corner of Bangkok that is just a short ride away from the city’s downtown hotels.
