Singapore Cruise Centre opens new terminal

Singapore continues to invest in its maritime infrastructure with the opening of a new International Ferry Terminal at HarbourFront from 15 July, enhancing the passenger experience at one of the city’s key gateways for regional ferry services and smaller cruise vessels.

Located just 70 metres from the existing terminal, the modern facility will continue serving popular Indonesian destinations including Batam Centre, Harbour Bay, Sekupang, Tanjung Balai Karimun, Gold Coast and Nirup Island. While routes, schedules and arrangements remain unchanged, the new terminal provides an improved arrival and departure experience for travellers exploring Singapore and its neighbouring islands.

HarbourFront also accommodates smaller cruise ships, making the upgraded terminal a welcome enhancement for visitors travelling by sea. Together with the earlier upgrades at Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore, the development reflects Singapore’s continued investment in strengthening its cruise and maritime tourism offering, catering to both international cruise passengers and regional sea travel.

The relocation also marks the beginning of a new chapter for the HarbourFront precinct. After more than three decades of service, the original terminal site will be redeveloped into a mixed-use waterfront destination featuring retail, offices, an elevated park and a new promenade, further enhancing one of Singapore’s most important transport and lifestyle hubs.
