A Team Adventure in Taman Negara National Park

Taman Negara National Park covers around 1000 sq. kms. surrounding the Gunung Tahan mountain, the highest point in Mayasia. This incredible rainforest is home to some 15,000 plant species, 675 bird species, 250 freshwater species and a whole lot more.

Recently our team members Noor Sherina and Noor Sarah Bee visited Taman Negara for a site visit and a product update.  They began with a 1.5km. walk from the park’s headquarters to the Canopy Walkway, a suspension bridge of strong ropes, cables, net and wood, hanging 40 metres above the ground.  Their adventure continued in the afternoon with a leisurely 40 minute trip up the Tahan River to Lata Berkoh waterfall, then the thoroughly invigorating experience of a refreshing swim in the cool, deep waters at the foot of the fall.

Their conclusion: jungle trekking can be challenging, but for clients who are reasonably fit and have a taste for the outdoors, it’s a first-hand experience of nature at its best. There are many well-marked trails through the park, each promising a different adventure and each one equally fascinating.
