Following the distribution of the donations gathered from the ‘Clear Your Closet Challenge’ in May and June, some Destination Asia Vietnam staff went a step further to help those in need, giving up their own budget and time.
Cardboard boxes were purchased by a single staff member for all the Clear Your Closet items; ice cream donations were handed out to children in Dieu Giac who were unable to go on their annual social outing for Children’s Day; and 20 litres of honey was donated to the ‘superhero’ family who supports the caretakers of children with cerebral palsy in Vietnam. The honey will be used to make traditional medicine for them to sell on behalf of the association.
