With their farm-to-table philosophy and an impressive commitment to eco-friendly practices, Island Organics has become known as Koh Samui’s premier cooking class. Using organic ingredients cultivated from their on-site organic farm, this pioneering cooking school unravels the mystery behind Thai ingredients while also touching upon eco-garden topics such as aquaponics, liquid composts, and vertical gardening tower systems.
Each class starts with a tour hosted by Chef Lat of the micro-organic farm, where more than 70 types of fruit, veg, and herbs are grown. While exploring the farm, guests can pick their ingredients to cook with and learn more about aquaponics, a sustainable pure organic closed-loop food production system. Purpose-built cooking stations ensure guests get the complete Thai culinary experience while preparing and cooking authentic Thai food from scratch.
Not only does Island Organics make a commitment to the environment, but they also donate produce to local Samui organisations in the hopes that they will spread the practice of healthy and organic eating around the island.
