Luang Prabang’s Bio Bamboo Launches Line of Sustainable Products

Continually striving to make creative products that result in zero waste, plastic-free, and eco-friendly living, Bio Bamboo has launched a creative new line of home products and souvenirs. With the overall aim of reducing plastic waste, the new products also allow patrons to discover organic, eco-friendly goods.

Run by a local family, Bio Bamboo is situated just 10 minutes from Luang Prabang World Heritage Town on the scenic bank of the Nam Khan River. The beloved restaurant offers traditional Lao specialities highlighting dishes from the Tai Lue ethnic group and also offers a bamboo exhibit house and eco-bar.

Initially, Bio Bamboo endeavoured to make bamboo straws but is now pushing the bar for creating other eco-friendly products. The new lineup includes bamboo refill bottles, hemp string, coconut bowls, bamboo tumblers, gourd lamps, coconut bowls, and bamboo baskets.
