Train Market Adds Vintage Vibe to Bangkok

Talat Rod Fai (Train Market) is a famous antiques and collectibles market located in East Bangkok. It has grown in popularity over recent years, and following a change in location in 2013 to a larger site – attracts larger crowds than ever before. The market is open from Tuesday till Sunday with the best time to visit around 7 or 8pm. Visitors generally leave around midnight but there is still plenty of action going on till around 2am – unless it’s raining. A great atmosphere is created throughout the night with a collection of small bars and cafes featuring live bands.

Surrounding the open market area are plenty of shophouses and food vendors, so make sure you have a few hours spare to see everything on offer. The market is located on Sri Nakarin Soi 15 next to Seacon Square shopping centre in Prawet District, Bangkok, and is accessible by a 15 minute taxi ride from the city center.
