Destination Asia Japan Recognized with Letter of Appreciation from Kyoto City

Following a contribution of 183 pieces of disposable personal protective equipment (PPE) to hospitals, Destination Asia Japan’s Groups & Kyoto Office Manager, Momoyo Koda, attended a ceremony last month and received a letter of appreciation from Kyoto City.

In the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Destination Asia Japan has teamed up with a volunteer organization Bogofuku Shien (Protective Clothing Aid) Project to help support frontline medical workers. Destination Asia’s Japan ‘Green Team’ and office staff are currently working on making another 100 pieces of protective clothing using plastic bags and tape, which are to be sent to hospitals directly by the end of the year.

As winter approaches, personal protective equipment continues to be in urgent need. Until then, Destination Asia Japan will continue to assist those on the frontline.
