A quick handover before a major event in Bali, Indonesia

The brief: A famous US household electronics company asked us to coordinate a five-day, four-night gathering for 180 of its top performers, who flew in from all over the world for the event.

The itinerary included a wide range of activities from temple tours to music classes where guests learnt how to play anglkung, a traditional Indonesian instrument, before finishing the celebrations with a gala at the magnificent Bali Grand Hyatt.

Every detail of this itinerary was meticulously planned when only days before the event, the client’s main organiser and primary point of contact had to step away, leaving a a big knowledge and communication gap that needed to be filled fast.

Working quickly, closely and transparently with both the client and the venue, a new team was formed on the client side. We quickly brought them up to speed, re-assembling key information, creating a new strategy and re-assigning tasks and responsibility for various parts of the assignment. The feedback from our client following the event was overwhelmingly positive and they expressed enormous gratitude for our proactive communication, quick problem solving skills, and seamless coordination under these unexpected circumstances.

The client shared that the teams ability to adapt and ensure a smooth experience, despite numerous challenges, further solidified their trust in the Destination Asia team.
